University of Miami Graduate School Application

    Welcome! Thank you for your interest in applying for graduate study at the University of Miami.     Account Creation and Login Instructions

    • New to the University of Miami? To begin your application for the first time, click Create an account under "First-Time Users".
    • If you are currently enrolled or a recent graduate (after December 2023) and have an active UM Login ID, click UM Login ID under "Users with a UM Login ID". Use your existing UM Login ID and password to sign in (ex. caneid123@miami.edu).
    • If you are a UM employee, click Create an account under "First-Time Users". Your new account will be linked to your existing UM Login ID in 48-72 hours.
    • If you have started or submitted an application for the 2025 application cycle and have not been issued or setup a UM Login ID, click Log in under "Returning Users" and use your email and password to log in.
    • If you submitted an application for the current application cycle and you have been issued and setup your UM Login ID and password, click UM Login ID under "Users with a UM Login ID". You may continue to log in to your Application Status Portal using your email and password but it is recommended to setup your UM Login ID to gain access to other UM systems as needed.
    Note: Logging in with a UM Login ID will provide access to UM systems such as your Financial Aid Portal.
